Frequently asked questions

Is Truvo affiliated with Robinhood?
No. Truvo is an independent information service. It reads Robinhood’s public documentation, public asset registry and public blockchain data, and links to them.
Does Truvo show prices or give investment advice?
No. Truvo does not publish prices, rank assets or recommend anything. It describes contracts and the evidence behind facts about them.
What does “verified” mean?
That the information is backed by an official source and is within its freshness window. It says nothing about whether an asset is a good investment, legal where you are, liquid or safe. See the methodology.
A token has the right ticker. Why is it “unverified”?
Because its address is not the one the official registry lists for that asset. Anyone can deploy a contract with any name or ticker; only the address identifies the real one.
Why is a field “Not known”?
No curated source provides it yet, for example per-asset price feed addresses. Truvo shows the gap instead of guessing or filling in a default.
Two sources disagree. Which one is right?
Truvo doesn’t decide automatically. The field is marked conflicting, both values are shown with their sources, and an operator reviews it. The decision and its reason go into an append-only audit log.
How current is the data?
Each field shows when it was last confirmed. The official registry is re-checked about hourly and on-chain values continuously. Fields older than their freshness window are marked stale. The status page shows job health.
Do I need an account or API key?
No, for up to 60 requests per minute. For higher volumes an API key raises the limit to 600 per minute; contact us to request one.
How do I report an error or request a correction?
Email [email protected] with the contract address, the field, what you believe is correct and your evidence. Include the request_id from the API response if you have it.
